Talking to reporters at an event on Sunday, Azam Khan also slammed the Opposition for limiting their discourse only on certain political issues and not the national interest.

"There was a mega rally in Kolkata and it was supposed to join everyone together for the benefit of the nation. While several political issues were raised during the rally, discussion on where the nation is going and where it is supposed to lead did not take place adequately," Khan said while addressing reporters in UP's Firozabad.

Further hitting at the Mahagathbandhan for absence of requisite Muslim representatives in the mega rally, he said, "the representation of the second biggest population or the Muslim minority was merely namesake. Only one leader from Kashmir and another from Assam attended the rally. Muslims are worried about their representation."
