During a joint photo session, BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Narhari Amin reportedly fainted as current parliamentarians prepared to leave the old parliament building for the new one on September 19. The incident occurred as members of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha gathered for a group photograph, commemorating the legacy of the Indian Parliament and reaffirming their commitment to making Bharat a developed nation by 2047.

According to a statement issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, MPs were called to assemble for the group photograph at 9:30 a.m. The session included three separate group photographs: one for all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs, a second exclusively for Rajya Sabha MPs, and a third for Lok Sabha MPs.

Following the photo session, all members were requested to convene in the Central Hall of Parliament at 11 a.m. for a function dedicated to celebrating the Parliament's illustrious history and expressing their determination to propel Bharat towards development by 2047.

In light of the occasion, MPs were also issued new identity cards for access to the new Parliament building. Catering services, including those in the MP Dining Room, MP Guest Dining Room, Central Hall, and Media Pantry in the existing Parliament House, were available until today morning. Thereafter, these facilities would be relocated to the new Parliament building, including two lounges named Sangam 1 and Sangam 2.

A special five-day session of Parliament had commenced on September 18, setting the stage for critical discussions and deliberations.

Amin, BJP’s MP from Gujarat, was among the MPs who raised their concerns in the Rajya Sabha about a breach of privilege by AAP MP Raghav Chadha. They alleged unauthorised inclusion of their names in a motion on August 7, prompting Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar to refer the matter for examination by the privileges committee.
