Although the full Comptroller and Auditor General report on the contentious Rafale deal revealed the NDA deal to be cheaper by 2.86% than the UPA non-deal, BSP supremo Mayawati became another politician in the Opposition to raise her concerns pertaining to the integrity of the report and further questioned the Constitutional bodies to be 'stressed' to work with BJP government.
In a tweet, the PM-aspirant Mayawati questioned the CAG report tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday and said that the report is 'neither complete nor fully correct' in the eyes of the public and that the Constitutional bodies are unable to work with 'full honesty' with the Modi-government.
However, the CAG report accessed by Republic concluded on pages 136 and 137 that the May 2015 seal-deal price of NDA is 2.86% lesser, compared to the 2007 no-deal UPA price.
On Tuesday, even before being tabled in the Upper House, Rahul Gandhi drew an attack on the CAG report calling it the 'Chowkidar Auditor General', and went ahead to cite it as a 'worthless report.'
Along with the Congress president, senior leader Kapil Sibal on Sunday expressed his doubts over Rajiv Mehrishi's report of the deal, rebutting to which Union Minister Arun Jaitley accused Sibal of manufacturing yet another false allegation.
As per the table, here's a break-up of which components of the deal are cheaper for the NDA and which was cheaper in the UPA's price:
