An unusual sight awaited onlookers in front of the Congress headquarters in Delhi after a poster featuring the Gandhi-Vadra family along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra appeared in front of the party office.

Robert Vadra makes a special appearance in Congress poster

Just days after senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was named as Interim president of the 'grand old party', this bizarre poster only adds to the disarray and identity crisis that it is facing at the moment. The senior leadership of the Congress has been facing severe flak after failing to find a suitable replacement as President of the Party after Rahul Gandhi resigned following a debacle in the 2019 polls and an ensuing drama. Despite leaders such as Captain Amarinder Singh actively voicing their opinion for a young leader to be at the helm, the party went back to choosing Sonia Gandhi as a temporary replacement.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra denies conflict within party

Terming the recently passed Jammu And Kashmir (Reorganisation) Bill 2019 as unconstitutional, Congress general secretary UP (East), Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday, has said that the Congress party has no differing views on the matter and will continue to fight for democracy, while interacting with reporters in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra district. She is currently visiting victims of the Sonabhadra massacre where 10 people were killed and 25 injured in a firing incident.

"Congress has no different views (on abrogation of article 370). Congress views are clear as declared after the CWC meeting. What has happened is unconstitutional and Congress has always fought for the rights in a democracy. We have stated clearly that we will be continuing our fight for democracy," she said.

When questioned about differing views expressed by Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia - backing the move to abrogate article 370, she said that Congress did not stifle dissent like BJP, but Scindia too had agreed that the manner in which the abrogation had been done was unconstitutional.

"Scindiaji is also a part of the CWC and has signed this statement saying that the way this has occurred (abrogation of article 370) is unconstitutional. Our party is not such that only one voice raises during a debate, suppressing other voices - like in BJP. We hear everyone's views, debate on it and then decide on one view," she added.
