Republic TV is in possession of documents listing the Congress' strategy for the monsoon session of Parliament. The document, titled 'Key issues to raise in Parliament', lists various issues that the "Congress MPs can use to hold the government accountable."

The issues of lynching, cow vigilantism, GST rollout, farmer deaths, India-China standoff, fallout of demonetisation, ban on screening of documentary films figure in the document, compiled by the 'AICC Research Department'.

On 'Pakistan's aggression along the LoC'

In a chapter titled, 'Inability to address Pakistan's aggression at the border', the Congress lists its 'attack points' as 'turbulence across the LoC' and 'situation has worsened after Surgical Strikes'. It claims that there is an "escalation rather than a deterrence in aggression from the Pakistan side".

On lynching

The Congress party has also listed cow vigilantism and lynching as points of 'attack'. The document released by the party claims that "97% of lynching by Gau Rakshaks have happened after 2014" and that "Muslims comprised of 86% Indians lynched in 63 incidents". It also intends to target the government on 'apathy' and 'rise of communal politics'.

Isn't the Congress strategy more about disruption than debate?  Are MPs today batting for their own rather than us all?
