Congress President Rahul Gandhi blew the poll bugle in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday after he kick-started Congress' Sankalp Yatra in Chitrakoot near Satna district. He was seen offering prayers at Shri Kamadgiri Temple along with other Congressman. In the video accessed by Republic TV, Rahul Gandhi can be seen entering the temple and offering a garland of flowers in the feet of the deity. After offering his Prayer, Rahul Gandhi proceeded to attend a meeting at Rajola.

During the meeting, he mounted a scathing attack on PM Modi and said:

"Prime Minister said that he will build Sardar Patel statue and during the process he gave jobs to the people in China. But I will ensure that if we come to power then we will show how to change the perspective from 'Made in China' to 'Made in Chitrakoot'."

"Mr. Narendra Modi always says 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' but in UP we have seen how an MLA raped a girl but BJP and even Modi ji did not even try to punish him. We should rephrase it as 'Beti Padhao, Beti ko BJP ke vishayak se bachao', he added.
