Slamming the Congress for opposing the Triple talaq Bill which was debated on the Lok Sabha floor on Friday and for Congress president Rahul Gandhi's mocking tweet on Yoga Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Congress stands for negativity as it backs the medieval practice of Triple Talaq and insults our forces on International Yoga day.

Earlier in the day, slamming Gandhi's tweet, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar has said that the tweet represented Congress' mentality, desperation and disconnect from people as the world celebrates International Yoga Day.

"The entire world is celebrating International Yoga Day today. And at such a time, Congress tweeting such a statement shows the party's mentality, desperation and their disconnect from the people. hence, there is no debate needed on this matter. Each person comments from his level only," he said, talking to reporters.

The entire controversy started when Congress president Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet mocked the Security Forces, who participated to mark the International Yoga Day along with the entire world. 

Rahul Gandhi Takes A Dig At Security Forces, Mocks Dog Army Unit Marking International Yoga Day

In a post, Rahul Gandhi shared a picture of four security dogs of the Army Dog Unit following their human counterparts performing yoga, and called it 'New India'

The four-legged security forces could be seen in pictures performing Yoga, alongside their security forces. 

In the first visual the four canines could be seen standing on their two hind legs with the other two in the air, in sync with the security forces performing yoga right opposite to them. In the second visual, along with the security forces, the Army dog unit could be going down to give their backs a good stretch. 

The International Yoga Day that found its roots in India on June 21, 2015, was celebrated on the day across the world.  From China to France and even Saudi Arabia celebrated the occasion in a grand affair.
