Head of Congress social media wing Divya Spandana aka Ramya seems to have logged off Twitter. Her twitter account earlier on Saturday night did not display any tweets and her Twitter bio did not mention her as head of social media. Her Twitter account was showing 0 followers as well.

However, at the time of publishing, Spandana's Twitter account does not seem to exist on the micro-blogging platform.

Therefore, speculations have sturred on whether she is still part of the social media team of the Congress party. Meanwhile, there is no official confirmation from either the Indian National Congress or Divya Spandana herself in the matter.

Word is out that Spandana has parted ways from the team of the Grand Old Party, sources told ANI. Responding to news agency ANI in the matter, she refuted the claim that she has quit the party, saying that the sources are wrong.

"Your source is wrong", said Divya Spandana.

Furthermore, the Congress media department declined any comment on Spandana's account being deleted. Spandana has been credited with a turnaround of the Congress party's social media presence. BJP has a robust media cell and a strong online presence.

The Congress party was routed in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections with BJP-led NDA storming into power at the Centre by winning 353 seats in the Parliament out of the 542 seats which went to polls in the seven-phases.

After the drubbing, the Congress had officially announced that their leaders or members will not participate in discussions or television debates for at least a month.

This development comes amid the row of resignation offered by Rahul Gandhi, who became the Congress president in 2017, during the CWC meeting on May 25. However, his resignation offer was unanimously rejected by the CWC.
