Merely a few weeks ahead of Karnataka Elections, the Karnataka Congress on Monday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and termed it to be ‘Beef Janata Party.’
In a video uploaded on their Twitter handle, Congress party hits out at Goa CM Manohar Parrikar, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, BJP MLA Sangeet Som and Union Tourism Minister Alphons Kannanthanam.
In a post, the Congress party wrote,
“Parrikar wants to import it, Yogi wants to export it, Rijiju wants to eat it, Som wants to sell it. Do not mix Beef and Business. Mixing Beef and Politics, a definite YES! Enough of your hypocrisy”
The legislative assembly election in the state of Karnataka is scheduled to be held in April or May 2018, with a view to elect members of the 224 constituencies. The tenure of Karnataka assembly comes to an end on May 28, 2018
Earlier on January 14, on the day when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed in India to a special welcome from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress mocked PM Modi’s relationship with world leaders. The official Twitter handle of the Congress party had released a ‘distasteful’ video mocking the Prime minister for his 'hugplomacy' as the Rahul Gandhi-led party has termed it to be.
