A day after Congress' Karnataka MLA K Sudhakar was spotted in BJP leader S M Krishna's Bengaluru residence in talks with other BJP leaders, Sudhakar, on Monday has refuted claims that he has been offered any ministry or chairmanship by the either Congress or JD(S) leadership, talking exclusively to Republic TV. He also said that the conflict was not on ministership but on the difference in principles.

"No, I have not gotten any such offer. The issue is on certain principles. It is not an issue on ministry of chairmanship. Whatever has to be communicated to the high command in the Congress party has already been done by me," he said.

Hailing the 'stupendous' mandate won by PM-elect Modi, he added that party heads in JD(S) and Congress must address the underlying reasons for defection rather than the symptoms.

"The results in the parliamentary elections in the entire country has very clearly told what is the reason. The mandate for Mr.Modi is stupendous and is a historical victory. It is a positive vote according to me. The situation in Karnataka is very dicey right now with a wafer-thin majority held by the Congress-JD(S) coalition. Both heads of parties should understand the gravity of the scenario and should address the underlying disease, not the symptoms," he added.
