Republic Media Network has found out that Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy has been operating from a luxurious hotel since May 2018. In this explosive sting, Republic Media Network reveals how the Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy has been living in Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru.
After swearing-in as the chief minister of Karnataka on 23 May 2018, HD Kumaraswamy had refused to take up residence in the government accommodation. But Republic Media Network's investigation shows that the CM has been living and working from the 5-star hotel.
The CMO, however, has denied that the channel's findings of working from the Taj West End Hotel.
In the sting operation, the security personnel in the hotel admits to channel's South India Bureau Chief Pooja Prasanna that the JD(S) leader has been in the hotel since the last few days. He also admitted that Kumaraswamy keeps coming to the hotel often and changes the rooms that he books.

A member of the hotel staff who was coming from the block where HD Kumaraswamy was staying stopped Republic crew from entering the area. But he admitted that the chief minister has been there for many days.
Reacting to Republic's investigation, the Director of the hotel Paul Dokka said he cannot confirm findings of Republic's sting about Kumaraswamy's stay as it breaches the confidentiality of their guests.
"We cannot give information. We cannot talk about it. As it is a matter of personal confidentiality which is always maintained," he said.
HD Kumaraswamy will commence his grama vaastavya or village stay programme from Gurmitkal taluk of Yadgir district from June 21.
Kumaraswamy made headlines before and during the Lok Sabha elections in which his party performed poorly. He became known for shedding tears in public places and complaining about compulsions of coalition with the Congress in the state.
