On Tuesday, Republic TV accessed an exclusive video of BJP MP and Kalyan Singh’s son, Rajveer Singh in Kasganj.
He is seen openly provoking crowds present in Uttar Pradesh, merely hours after the killing of Chandan Gupta in Kasganj. In this shocking video, Rajveer Singh is heard saying, “the violence was pre-planned where one of our men passed away."
In a clash that broke out after an unauthorised bike rally was taken out by RSS-affiliated students' group Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in the city to commemorate the Republic Day, and stones allegedly pelted at them during the roadshow.
As a result, one person, identified as Chandan, died, and two others were injured in the Kasganj violence. At least 112 people have been arrested in this connection. Five buses and three shops were torched and a farmhouse owned by a local resident had been vandalised. Mass criticism was raised following this incident against the Uttar Pradesh Government.
