Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday during a press meeting mounted pressure on the Centre to build the Ram Mandir on the disputed site in Ayodhya. While he remained confident about the creation of the Mandir , he said that people's sentiments were being hurt due to the delay about the indecision of the Centre on the issue and the government may lose support from people due to it.

"Government may not stay, but the mandir will be built," he said.

Attacking the BJP-led government in the Centre for not find a solution for building the temple, he said,"Before the elections people speak about the Ram Mandir and then forget about it. It is sad that so many years have gone by but there is no Ram Temple here. The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said that 'Mandir Tha, Mandir He or Mandir Rahega but there  is no temple here yet."

He also said that his party would support any legislative route for the construction the Temple. "We will support any resolution for the temple," he said.

He added that Hindus won't be quiet about their disappointment over the delay in the Ram Manidr issue. "Ab Hindu maar nahi khayega, said Atal Bihari Vajpayee, I say, Ab Hindu chup bhi nahi rahega (Atalji said  'Now Hindus won't take a beating, I say, Hindus won't be quiet anymore')."

He also expressed his experience about his visit to the site:

"I want to thank all of you. I thank you all. I am in Ayodhya since Saturday. You all have been with me and my journey has been success.  I want to thank everyone. I want to thank the state government, police administration and specially the natives of Ayodhya, I want to thank all my brothers and sisters. All those saints who blessed me yesterday, I told them yesterday that the work which we are going to do will be incomplete without your blessings. When I went to offer prayers today, I had a completely different experience. There is some awareness in that place.

I was unhappy about the fact that I couldn't understand whether I was going to pray to Ram Lalla or visiting a jail. This is an unfortunate fact and it is happening to us. There should be an end to this and our the temple of Shri Ram should be constructed there. I came here with this sentiment."
