At a time when the chief minister of Haryana- Manohar Lal Khattar is under fire from congress leaders for making derogatory remarks on interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi, BJP's Haryana spokesperson Surajpal Amu, on Monday, has justified the statements made by Manohar Lal Khattar while campaigning in Haryana's Sonipat for the state elections.

Surajpal Amu defends Khattar

"Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has not said anything wrong. He has just said used an idiom to express himself. What is wrong in this? Even today Congress is enslaving these Britishers and that's why Congress has lost ground. Congress is saying that it is RSS' thinking. But we are proud to say that we are workers of RSS. They always make personal attacks on PM Modi, Amit Shah and CM Khattar. If Congress wants to have an Italian lady as it's president, it's their wish. Why congress is making hue and cry on the repetition of just an idiom?",said Surajpal Amu

Amu further added that raising this issue will not help Congress winning Haryana elections.

"If Congress thinks that it will benefit them in Haryana elections then let me tell you that all candidates of Congress are going to lose their deposits. I am hearing Congress is going to protest against this at BJP office But before doing this, they must tell us which camp of Haryana Congress is protesting because Congress is completely divided in Haryana," said Amu.

Congress slams BJP

Congress leader and former president of All India Mahila Congress, Shobha Ojha has hit back at BJP's support to Haryana Chief Minister's remarks by saying by supporting this remark of Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP is telling that the anti-women mindset is there in the DNA of BJP.

"See this is the real face of BJP. You see many leaders of BJP were accused of misbehavior with women, this shows that their mindset for women is negative. Manohar Lal Khattar is making this statement because even he has a similar anti-women mindset. This exposes the real mindset of BJP and this doesn't affect Sonia Ji at all. Who will accept such derogatory remarks? If BJP is supporting this anti-women remark then it shows that it's there in the DNA of BJP. Election commission of India must take note of this," she said.
