Uddhav Thackeray raised the Babri Masjid issue on Wednesday during the launch of the film 'Thackeray' in Mumbai while answering a question about Censor Board's objection to the feature.

When asked about speculations of Censor Board's objection towards some scenes in the film, the Shiv Sena chief said, "Whatever has happened has happened... We can't change it. If we can't have a quick action about the film (with respect to censhorship), then we better have a quick resolution on the Babri masjid case", he said.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut who was also present at the trailer launch of the film 'Thackeray' dared the Censor Board over speculations of deletion of scenes.

"You will see the original Bal Thackeray in movie... Nothing will change. Nothing has been deleted... no one has stopped Bala Saheb Thackeray before nor will anyone stop him now.

When asked about the Censor Board banning films based on trailers, he said: "This is Thackeray you are talking about. Bal Thackeray had banned many people."

Sanjay Raut answered a question about the polarising statements being shown in the film and the possible Censor Board's reaction to it.

"What is wrong or right , who will decide this? Bal Thackeray's life is an open book. The Censor Board will understand in time. Some things take time to be understood," he said.

The trailer launch event of the late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray was held on December 26.

The event was highly anticipated and the star of the film Nawazuddin Siddiqui was present at the occasion.

Apart from Raut and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Siddiqui others present were the film's director Abhijit Panse and actress Amrita Rao, who is playing the wife of the ex-Shiv Sena leader Meena Tai Thackeray.

Speaking right before the trailer was to drop, Uddhav Thackeray was invited on stage to say a few words. "This picture will be 2 hours long...I have seen the full 52-years picture", he began to applause from the crowd.

He then highlighted how making the film would have been a difficult task: "This must have been a difficult job. Nawaz saab you've worked in many films. If the film is based on a thought, then it's easier I feel. But for an important person who is not from hundreds of years ago, was with us till recently, and one whom we still believe is with us still -- to capture such a person on the silver screen is a difficult job."
