Watching Narendra Modi take oath as the Prime Minister of India for a second consecutive term, PM Modi's 99-year old mother, Heeraben Modi on Thursday, was seen enjoying the ceremony viewing it on TV from her home.
Pictures show the proud mother watching her son with a keen interest and bursting out in applause as her son read the oath during the ceremony.

A bevy of guests have already arrived at the venue including JD(U) Chief Nitish Kumar, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, H D Kumaraswamy, Rajinikanth, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Babul Supriyo, BJP chief Amit Shah to name a few.
Prime Minister Modi took the oath for the post at 7 PM in the evening on May 30 at the foreground of the Rashtrapati Bhavan where 8000 guests including foreign dignitaries were present. Apart from the above guests, VVIPs, state Chief Ministers, state unit chiefs of BJP, state ministers, present members of Parliament, former members of the Parliament and other special guests are currently attending the ceremony.
A few who are absent from the evening's proceedings are Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Telangana Chief KC Rao, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
After the 2014 elections, PM Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony was held on the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan. This will be the sixth time a prime minister, in the political history of India, takes oath on the forecourt instead of Rashtrapati Bhavan's Durbar Hall.
Leaders of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) comprises Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan are also present in the ceremony. Apart from the BIMSTEC country leaders, who's who of the sports and film fraternity will also attend Prime Minister's swearing-in.
