BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha has given an idiomatic set of answers to the question, "Are you a part of the BJP?"
Republic TV spoke to the actor-turned-politician as he was leaving the Iftar party hosted by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in Patna, which, in-turn, meant that he wasn't able to attend the Iftar party hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Shatrughan Sinha, however, denied favouring one political party's Iftar event over another and said that judgments should not be made in this regard.
When he was asked point blank about whether he was a part of the BJP and whether he would be a part of the NDA for the 2019 elections, Shatrughan Sinha said:
"That the time will decide. There's no hurry or worry. Sarv Dal priye and sarv dal samabhav"
Shatrughan Sinha is a four-time member of Parliament, twelve years in the Rajya Sabha and now, coming to the end of his second term in the Lok Sabha as the representative of the Patna Sahib constituency. He has served as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and the Union Shipping Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government. However, his relationship with the BJP at the moment is up for debate, with most including him in the lists of leaders such as Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie who have turned opponents of their party.
