Over the years, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence or ISI has come to wield a disproportionate amount of influence in the country's activities. On Wednesday, in a first of its kind Super Exclusive, Republic TV's Aditya Raj Kaul broke a story where he stung Pakistan's foremost intelligence agency.

The sting involved American citizen of Kashmiri origin Ghulam Nabi Fai, the ISI's head of operations in the US, who had in 2011, been sentenced to two years imprisonment by a US court for "conspiracy to defraud the US" by concealing funds transfer from the ISI for his illegal lobbying efforts regarding Kashmir.

Fai, who has been working as a self-confessed mole of the ISI for a number of years, over the course of a long phone conversation, spoke about the people he's been in touch with in Pakistan's establishment and revealed their propaganda.

Aditya Raj Kaul, identifying himself as a Srinagar-based Kashmiri separatist, came to learn of a plot targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with President Donald Trump in the US, which is scheduled for June 26. As per the revelations of the sting, Fai plans to stage a massive protest entailing fake propaganda against India.

The plot also involves senior Pakistan diplomats who will assist in coordination. In addition, Fai disclosed that he is also in touch with the Hurriyat, namely Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Shah Geelani, over the protests.

In the first part of the conversation, Fai stated that permission for the march had been obtained and that people from New York and Pennsylvania will join others from the Washington metropolitan area in taking part.

In the second part, Fai lamented the lack of a follow-up on Nawaz Sharif's anti-India speech at the UN last year.

And in the third and fourth clips, he revealed that he's approached as many as 59 embassies to participate in the protest. He also named a number of Pakistan diplomats with whom he's corresponding, reserving special praise for Maleeha Lodhi, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations.

He went on to clarify that he's not operating under the instructions of the Pakistan foreign ministry; rather he's taking orders from diplomats who have a history of dealings with the ISI. On being asked about the response of US lawmakers, he said that he's hopeful.
