Slipping into the election mode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday mounted an attack on Congress Party in Madhya Pradesh while he was addressing ‘karyakarta mahakumbh’ in state capital Bhopal. PM Modi left no opportunity to take on Congress and said that 'the party lost sense after losing election'. He also focused on the destructive nature of vote bank politics and as he defined it: 'vote bank destroyed the society like termites'.

'Congress lost sense after losing power'

"Now that the Congress party has failed to form a gathbandhan (alliance) here in India, and even if they neet the alliance seems impossible. This is the reason why they are seeking a tie-up outside the country. Now, certain nations from all around the world will decide the fate of the next Prime Minister in India. Congress Party what has happened to you? Did you lose your senses after losing power in 2014?", he said while mounting a scathing attack on the Congress Party.

"Elections come and go but a party who is 125 years old should retain something, nothing is left now. In our country, the vote bank politics has destroyed our society like termites that is why if we want to save the country even after 70 years of independence, then we need to free the country from vote bank politics. This is the whole and sole purpose of BJP. This vote bank politics led to the formation of different communities by many politicians who then try and gain power by hook and crook. They didn't think about the society. There only agenda was to remain in power. My dear brothers and sisters, they resorted to this and fragmented the entire country", he added.

This comes after Congress President Rahul Gandhi 'chor' comment while addressing party’s social media workers in Amethi on Monday night. He used his thief jibe for Prime Minister Narendra Modi yet again and stated:

“The man (Prime Minister Modi), who came to remove corruption, has himself given Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani. The fun has just begun, things are set to turn more interesting. In the next 2-3 months you will have fun after we will show you Narendra Modi's work - Rafale, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Demonetisation, Gabbar Singh Tax. All of it is theft. One by one, we will show that Narendra Modi ji is not a watchman, but a thief.”
