Sounding poll bugle in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on “appeasement termites” by Congress in Madhya Pradesh. While addressing ‘karyakarta mahakumbh’ in state capital Bhopal, PM Modi drew comparison between the BJP and Congress and said the former believes in social justice while the latter believes in vote-bank politics.

“Our government believes in social justice. We believe in the ideology of Gandhi, Lohia and Deendayal, because we believe in togetherness.  The previous government played with the emotions of people as they did vote bank politics. Vote-bank politics has caused immense damage to the country in 70 years after Independence. Vote-bank politics is like a termite for the country. We have to eradicate the vote-bank politics. People of Madhya Pradesh will punish them for their sins,” said PM Modi.

Prime Minister also said said that the Congress is losing elections after elections because of its arrogance.

“Nowadays, we have to search Congress leaders through binoculars. Congress not ready to introspect why it has been reduced to 44 seats in Lok Sabha because of its arrogance,” said PM Modi.

Taking a swipe on the ‘mahagathbandhan’, the Prime Minister said the Congress is now pleading to regional parties just to defeat BJP. PM Modi, raking up Pakistan’s campaign for Rahul Gandhi said:

“Congress is unable to form a strong alliance here in this country and now they are looking for an alliance outside the country. Congress is  trying to form global mahagathbandhan. How can any other country comment who will be the PM of India?”

PM Modi was rebutting to Pakistan's support for the Congress President for the upcoming 2019 elections. Former Internal Minister of Pakistan Rehman Malik posted a series of tweets, expressing his support for Rahul Gandhi to dethrone PM Narendra Modi. In one of his tweets, he even ahead and said that if Rahul Gandhi keeps pursuing the Rafale controversy, he will become the Prime Minister of India. Later during a face-off with BJP national spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra on the Debate with Republic TV’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Malik reiterated his stance and said, “I am again repeating, good chances for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister."

However, Senator Rehman Malik is not the only Pakistan Minister who is campaigning for Rahul Gandhi, Pakistan's Information and Broadcast Minister Fawad Hussain too took to Twitter and referred Rahul Gandhi's tweets to mount a scathing attack on BJP. He shared screenshots of Rahul's tweets on his twitter handle and captioned it as: "These tweets explain BJP led Tirade against Pakistan, Apni Jang Khud Lado #RafaelDeal"

Further questioning the Congress’ alliance partners, PM Modi said:

“Today the alliance partners of Congress have boycotted Panchayat elections of Jammu and Kashmir but congress is fighting Panchayat polls. What kind of alliance is this?”

Reacting on Congress President Rahul Gandhi's 'thief' jibe for him, PM Modi said, "Congress is abusing me but I would like to tell them that every time you will abuse me, we will win."

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, while addressing party’s social media workers in Amethi on Monday night used his thief jibe for Prime Minister Narendra Modi yet again and quipped:

“The man (Prime Minister Modi), who came to remove corruption, has himself given Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani. The fun has just begun, things are set to turn more interesting. In the next 2-3 months you will have fun after we will show you Narendra Modi's work - Rafale, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Demonetisation, Gabbar Singh Tax. All of it is theft. One by one, we will show that Narendra Modi ji is not a watchman, but a thief.”

Gandhi issued the statement at the Forest Department guest house in Amethi which was closed to the media. However, video of Rahul Gandhi's jibe at Narendra Modi was recorded by some attendees and was shared with local reporters.
