In yet another blow to Opposition, leaders of Lalu Prasad Yadav-led RJD in Jharkhand resigned from the party on June 23, Sunday. In the Lok Sabha election 2019, the party was not able to win one seat in the state of the Bihar where they were once the ruling party.

The entire party leadership in Jharkhand has resigned with the party chief Tejashwi Yadav away from the state and reported to be partying outside the country. RJD leader also speculated that he must be watching the cricket World Cup match in England.

Sources said that there were rumblings in the party. In March, Rashtriya Janata Dal state president Annapurna Devi had joined the BJP. Ever since the RJD base in the state of Jharkhand had collapsed.

"We have lost our faith in the party leadership. We cannot understand the work he is doing, every worker is unhappy. If there is faith then we can do everything to save it", said a rebel leader of RJD in Jharkhand.

Earlier, in a political coup of sorts, the Rajya Sabha unit of Chandrababu Naidu-led Telegu Desam Party joined the BJP while former Andhra Pradesh Cheif Minister was away in London.
