National Approval Ratings: NDA to win the single seat in Sikkim

The Lok Sabha elections are less than five months away, and the mood in each state of the country is buzzing with speculations on how parties will fare there. Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has released the National Approval Ratings to get a snapshot of the mood of the nation and answer the question: What would happen if results were held today?

The Lok Sabha elections are less than five months away, and the mood in each state of the country is buzzing with speculations on how parties will fare there.

Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has released the National Approval Ratings to get a snapshot of the mood of the nation and answer the question: What would happen if results were held today?

The projections for Sikkim in the month of January are out.

The NDA  is projected to win the solo seat in the state.

Vote share:

UPA: 16%

NDA: 49.4%

Others: 34.6%

Projections in December:

The SDF which held the single seat in 2014 was likely to continue to hold it. It was set to retain it for NDA

In this month, the NDA was likely to win 49.3% votes while the INC bags 15.7% votes. The others were likely to receive  35% of the vote share.

Projections in November: 

In November too, the NDA had a clean sweep prediction in the state via the SDF. It was projected to win 48.9% of the votes whereas the INC was projected to win 19.1%. Others were projected to get 32% of the vote share.

Projections in October:

In October, NDA was projected to win 54% votes, the INC was projected to win 1.6%. The others were projected to win 44.5% of the vote share. The SDF was projected to bag the lone seat.

In 2014, the NDA received 55.3% vote share whereas the INC got 2.3%, and Others had got 42.3% votes.

The SDF has always clung on to hold this seat right since the 2004 elections.

The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
