After Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s ‘blood on hands of Congress’ admission, Akali Dal and BJP hit out at the party and said Congress doesn’t just have Muslim blood, but also Sikh blood on its hands.

Reacting to Khurshid’s controversial admission, Akali Dal spokesperson Jhangvir Singh said,

“It’s good thing Congress has started admitting it. A case should also be registered against late Prime Minister and investigate whom did he talk for execution of planned riots in the area of Sikhs.”

Addressing a press conference, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra has said,

“Congress hand is not only bloodied by blood of Muslims but also of Sikhs during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The congress party should respond. Salman has exposed Rahul Gandhi's Save the Constitution agenda.

In a major embarrassment to the Congress party, Congress leader and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid made a sensational admission when a student of Aligarh Muslim University posed a query on massacre of Muslims in Hashimpura, Maliana, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Bhagalpur and Aligarh riots besides the demolition of Babri Masjid during the Narsimha Rao government.

When Khurshid was asked this question, he was forced to admit that Congress has blood on its hands. This riot admission has clearly embarrassed the Congress and put the grand old party on the backfoot.

"I am also a part of the Congress so let me say it, we have blood on our hands. Is this why are you trying to tell us that if someone attacks you we must not come forward to protect you? I am telling you. We are ready to show the blood on our hands so that you realise that you too must not get blood on your hands. If you attack them, you are the ones who would get stains on your hands. Learn something from our past. Learn from our history and don't create such situations for yourself where if you come back to Aligarh muslim university after 10 years, you find no one like yourself putting out questions," he added.
