Merely 24-hours after AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the central government bring out a law that would make calling Indian Muslim "Pakistani" a punishable offence, BJP MP Vinay Katiyar stirred a controversy with his hate rant.

BJP MP Vijay Katiyar said,

'there should be a bill that punishes those who do not respect Vande Matram, those who insult the national flag, and those who hoist the Pakistani flag. No Muslim should stay in this country.’

Earlier on Tuesday, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief while participating in the debate in the Lok Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President's Address, said called for a law that would make calling an Indian Muslim "Pakistani" a punishable offence. He added that the law should make the offence punishable by three years of imprisonment.

Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah said on Tuesday,

‘All Muslims are Indians, we will live here and die here. There are certain people who ask us to go to Pakistan, but there is no need to make laws for this.’

He added, ‘There should be an investigation how the terrorists managed to escape in Kashmir. The doctor usually goes to the prison for a check-up.Why was be brought out? There should be a high-level inquiry.’
