After indulging himself in the political commentary on the PDP-BJP split, former Jammu-Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has come up with a new theory and has quipped that “PDP and BJP have been watching Bollywood movies for political strategy.” He further said that the “divorce” of the two parties have been crafted after borrowing ideas from these Bollywood movies. Omar also claimed that the split was nothing but a “fixed match”.

“The PDP & BJP have been watching Bollywood movies for political strategy. This is how they have crafted their “divorce”. Brilliant fixed match, scripted to perfection except the audience aren’t fools & neither are the rest of us,” he wrote on Twitter.

To support his theory, Omar tweeted a clip from the movie “Kissa Kursi Ka”. The flick is 1977 political satire that got banned during the Emergency as it criticised Sanjay Gandhi. In the clip tweeted by the National Conference leader, the characters were speaking about since both of their people were angry with each other, they will wage a scripted war against each other to pacify them.

“Your people are angry with you, my people are angry with me. Your people will remove you from power, my people will dislodge me. There is only one solution to the crisis we both are facing. You wage a war against me, I will wage a war against you,” said the characters in the clip.

The characters further go to say that both of them will speak about patriotism. They also say that though they will fight, their patriotic speeches will keep them going till 5 years, after which they will find a new agenda.

In the clip from the movie, Omar found out another tool to take a jibe at PDP and BJP.
