A controversial video has surfaced which shows Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel giving tips to BJP leaders on how to garner votes. She can be seen talking to BJP leaders and instructing them on what to do so as to get votes.
In the video, former Gujarat Chief Minister was seen telling Mamata Pandey, Satna mayor, and other BJP leaders how to garner votes.
Anandiben Patel, MP Governor said, "There is Rs 16 crore. I have inquired today in the entire district. You people must look into this. This is not difficult. Run a campaign. To which the Satna mayor replied, "We have adopted some kids.the zilla chief has also adopted. I too have adopted from Anganwadi."
"Gather everybody (inaudible). all five of you. That's not how you will get votes. This is how you will get votes. Go to their homes. Caress the child. Ask them how they are feeling. That is how you will get votes. Otherwise, you won't. Go to every village. You don't need votes but we do. What do they need, what are their requirements. You tell me, now if I have adopted the child, I will get the child whatever he/she needs and the expenses are taken care of by the government. This is how we will achieve Pm Modi's 2022 dream. You give them pills, whether they had it or not, nobody knows. We don't even know if their mothers checked. We don't know. The government gives Rs 500 to every child every month. Where do the 500 rupees go? At least check that.," said Anandiben.
The video has now gone viral on social media.
Now, the Congress party is strongly opposing Anandiben's video questioning how can a person holding a constitutional post talk about vote garnering strategy.
