Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in UP's Mathura for a day to inaugurate multiple develomental projects, addressed a rally post the foundation programme of the ‘Swachata Hi Seva’, National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), and the National Artificial Insemination Programme on Wednesday. In his address, the Prime Minister stressed on the importance of animals for the economy and also attacked the opposition for their lack of support for the government initiatives targeting animal welfare. Supporting the Prime Minister's statement slamming the opposition, BJP’s spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia, while speaking to Republic TV, said that he agrees to what was said by PM Modi in the rally on Wednesday. Gaurav Bhatia further stated that M Modi's comments resonate to the thinking of every Indian.
In his address in Mathura today, PM Modi had said that the opposition cannot digest the Centre taking decisions for animal welfare. Defending the Prime Minister's comments, Gaurav Bhatia said that the centre has taken strong steps to ensure all-round development of the country.
Bhatia further said that the opposition is allergic to ‘the way of life that Hindus have been taught to live’. The spokesperson also attacked the opposition for coining words like 'Hindu terror' and 'Hindu Taliban'.
He said that such actions have hurt the sentiments. Talking about the opposition's reaction to International Yoga Day, Bhatia said, ‘’When it came to celebrating International Yoga Day, the Congress and other opposition parties were mocking the Prime Minister. But now the International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide."
"The Government has taken strong steps to ensure all-round development. The opposition is allergic to Hindu Mythology, the way of life that Hindus adopt and we have seen it in the past where terms like 'Hindu terror' was coined only to appeal," Bhatia added.
The BJP spokesperson also attacked former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and alleged that he turns into a devout Hindu to please the Hindu voters before every election and doesn't even care about the same people from the Hindu community when the elections are over.
The Prime Minister launched 16 projects of Uttar Pradesh Government related to livestock, tourism, and road construction. The Prime Minister has also launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) for eradicating the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis in the livestock. The report also said that with a 100% funding from the Central Government, of Rs 12,652 crore for five years till 2024, the programme will aim at vaccinating over 500 million livestock including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and pigs against the FMD.
