After Priyanka Gandhi was formally inducted into Congress and was appointed as the General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh East, JD(U)'s Vice President Prashant Kishor tweeted about it.
He tweeted saying,"One of the most awaited entries in Indian politics is finally here! While people may debate the timing, exact role and position, to me, the real news is that she finally decided to take the plunge! Congratulations and best wishes to Priyanka Gandhi".
Republic TV's Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami during The Debate asked Kishor about the celebratory nature of the tweet and also questioned him about the dynastic politics prevalent in Congress and displayed in Gandhi-Vadra's entry in the party.
Here is what he said:
"First of all my tweet is not celebratory, it is a fact about one of the recent political entries. If someone wants to join politics, it is good for democracy and if she is not good the public will decide.
As far as dynasty politics is concerned, Congress' public perception that it promotes dynasty has nothing to do with Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra's entry into politics. It is for the party to see, the party to must have seen some qualification to induct her."
He also spoke about Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra's responsibility to address the allegations of corruption about her husband Robert Vadra and nepotism in her party with respect to claims of corrupt business dealings against him.
"Whatever issues, why only Vadra that concerns the nation, if she has chosen to be in politics then she should make herself available to answer it. I have no doubt she has wisdom and abiltiy to answer all questions," he said.
