Rabri Devi spells out her expectations for Tejashwi-Tej Pratap as brothers put up united front for birthday celebration

Amid the ongoing tension in the Lalu Prasad family over Tej Pratap Yadav filing for divorce from his wife Aishwarya Rai, Rabri Devi has posted a photo that perhaps shows that differences between Tejashwi and Tej Pratap may have cooled.

The occasion is Tejashwi's birthday, and in the photo, Tej Pratap is giving him a piece of cake. The two appear relaxed, standing in what can be presumed to be the drawing room of the Lalu residence. 

Rabri Devi's tweet translates to: Tej Pratap-Tejashwi ji, you both, with your own hands, will give the state's progress and women's safety a fillip, this is my expectation

The photo comes against the backdrop of weeklong frenetic developments relating to Tej Pratap's divorce application and desperate attempts by both families to patch things up between the couple. While Rabri Devi, Tejashwi and Misa Bharti have been attempting to resolve matters in tandem with Aishwarya's family, Tej Pratap held talks with his father Lalu in Ranchi.

However, the most recent statements by Tej Pratap reflected that he may not relent, especially seeing as he had complained about his family supporting Aishwarya over him. He appeared dismayed at his father's request that he wait till Lalu returns from jail, saying that he doesn't know when that would be.

In his divorce application, Tej Pratap had cited cruelty. He had also been giving the impression over the last few months that all wasn't well with Tejashwi, with Misa confirming a rift between the brothers.

Given that Tej Pratap is now back at home in Patna, and with Aishwarya and Tejashwi also in the same house, the Lalu family and RJD will no doubt be hoping for amicability to prevail.
