Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi took yet another jibe at Narendra Modi mocking his foreign policy. While quoting a tweet of Donald Trump on US relations with Pakistani leaders Rahul tweeted, "Modi ji quick; looks like President Trump needs another hug."

On October 14, Trump had tweeted, "Starting to develop a much better relationship with Pakistan and its leaders. I want to thank them for their cooperation on many fronts."

However, Rahul Gandhi seemed to have missed the context of Donald Trump’s tweet. Pakistan had got one Canadian family free and Donald Trump tweeted to applaud the gesture. So, what at first sight seems as a tongue and cheek statement turns out to be a gaffe as Rahul Gandhi clearly misread the context of Trump’s tweet.

India has been going around the world, building pressure against sponsors of terror including Pakistan and inviting countries to join in the efforts. The US has been also tightening screws on Pakistan over sanctioning aids and slamming countries for providing safe havens to terrorists in their soil.

Recently, Rahul Gandhi cornered Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Gujarat over the development achieved in the state, likening it to a person and saying it had gone berserk.
