After UP CM Yogi Adityanath exuded confidence about the construction of Ram Mandir in the disputed site in Ayodhya and said that the matter would be pursued within the ambit of the law, VHP's president Alok Verma and RSS leader Indresh Kumar, on Wednesday, nodded in agreement with him on this view.

Alok Verma reiterated that the next logical step would be to take the legistative route to ensure the building of the Temple. "Ram was a Maryada Purushottam (honourable righteous man) and his Temple must be built with Maryada (limits) of the Constitution. It has to be built lawfully. Since the Supreme Court has indicated that the wait could be eternal, we are asking the government of India to bring in a legislation for the issue and are looking for a wide support for it. We hope a law favouring Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya is passed in the Winter Session of the Parliament," he said.

Verma also said that they were disappointed with the Supreme Court for not prioritising the issue:

"Ramjanmabhoomi title suit case is one of the most important public matters. When they (SC) said there are other priorities than hearing these appeals, and there was no particular time set for the hearing, we were surprised. This attitude is not acceptable,"he said.

"Supreme Court has manifested deliberate avoidance of its duty by postponing the hearing of case," he said.

RSS leader Indresh Kumar also expressed disappointment over the postponing of the Ram Mandir case by Supreme Court. He blamed the Congress and the Communist Party, as well as the judiciary for the delay in the hearings

He said that the political parties have "played with and effectively killed values of truth, religion, justice, Constitution and hurt the public sentiment."

He also said the judiciary of India delayed and denied the deliverance of justice and hurt the public. "Will democracy and secularism prevail if we have such kind of a judiciary? Who will ensure that democracy and secularism prevails? Who are its enemy and conducted atrocities? People should know who they are and attack their consciousness. We prayed they come to their senses," he asked.

Both Verma and Kumar agreed with UP CM Yogi's decision to rename Faizabad to Ayodhya saying it is appropriate to have the names of places indicative of nation's roots, culture and history.
