Responsible for questioning Varnika, Subash Barala offers to resign as Haryana BJP Chief

Barala had questioned AVrnika for getting out so late, after she was harassed.

Sources to Republic TV have confirmed that Haryana BJP President Subhash Barala has offered to resign on Monday.

Varnika Kundu, the complainant in the VVIP stalking and rash driving incident that occurred in Chandigarh, spoke exclusively with Republic TV about the events that occurred after she went public with her terrifying ordeal.

On Sunday, sources told Republic TV that the Centre has sought relevant details on the Haryana stalker incident and is seeking a report within 24 hours. Moreover, it has been assured that "action will be taken if the culprit is found guilty". 

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said it was not right to punish the BJP leader for his son's crime. "I came to know about this incident. Chandigarh Police has filed the complaint and I believe they will take appropriate action. This matter is not related with Subhash Barala but with an individual. So action would be taken against his son," Khattar told media
