Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who is slated to visit Ayodhya on November 25, to "remind Prime Minister Narendra Modi why Ram temple needs to be constructed", on Friday, while speaking to media in Mumbai said that if the government cannot construct the Ram Temple then it should be brought down.

Thackeray said that this is the first time that a majority government with a particular political ideology is in power and that if the temple could not be completed now then the government has no reason, has no right, to be in power.

The Shiv Sena chief further stated that, "the government was taking up the Ram Temple issue only after Shiv Sena reminded it for the same every time. I am going to Ayodhya to tell the BJP government that Ram Temple needs to be constructed."

On the topic of the three-day national executive body meeting of the RSS which discussed the construction of Ram Temple, Thackeray said, "RSS, the organisation which has formed the government, should bring it down. RSS should bring the government down and stop supporting them (BJP) if they cannot construct Ram Temple."

Speaking about the visit of Uddhav Thackeray to Ayodhya on November 25, Sanjay Raut had earlier said, "All preparations have been done for Uddhav Thackeray's visit to Ayodhya on November 25. He is going there to remind BJP govt that Ram Temple needs to be constructed. It will take 1000 years if we wait for court's verdict on Ram Temple. The Sena chief will take a 'darshan' of Ram Lalla and attend few programs in Ayodhya. We are not paying attention to what the Supreme Court verdict (on Ram temple issue) is and what date it gives (for the verdict). We don't want to pay attention. The court won't do anything in the Ram Temple matter. We did not ask the court before demolishing the Babri structure 25 years ago. We feel that there should be a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. We are not demanding a Ram Temple in Pakistan but in Prabhu Shri Ram's Ayodhya. Uddhav Thackeray will go to Ayodhya and put forth his views on the Ram Mandir before people of the country."
