Making yet another sexist comment, Rampur Lok Sabha MP Azam Khan, on Thursday, said in the parliamentary chambers to Lok Sabha chair Rama Devi that he 'wished to keep his eyes on her, as he likes her so much'.
This is not the first time that the Samajwadi Party leader has made a derogatory comment against a woman. Here is the list of sexist comments by Khan:
When Jaya Prada had commented that the then-released film Padmavat's character Allaudin Khilji reminded her of her mentor-turned-rival Azam Khan, he responded by saying:
"I don't respond to a Naachne wali's comments. How will I govern then?"
After former SP leader Jaya Prada joined the saffron party, she was immediately fielded against Azam Khan for the Rampur Lok Sabha seat. During a public rally, in the presence of former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and other senior party leaders, Azam Khan said :
"I brought her (Jaya Prada) to Rampur. You are a witness that I did not allow anyone to touch her body. It took you 17 years to identify her real face but I got to know in 17 days that she wears khaki underp****."
After winning the Rampur Lok Sabha seat, Khan did not cease his attack against his rival - Jaya Prada saying that there had not opened a dance bar in Rampur.
"We have not opened a dance bar here. I am specifically saying *****, as people know who I am talking about."
During the Triple Talaq debate, Azam Khan raked up yet another controversy and made sexist remarks at Lok Sabha chair Rama Devi, which resulted in chaos on the floor of the Lower House of Parliament.
"I really like you so much that I feel like keep my eyes on your eyes. I feel like never removing my eyes off you," adding, " You are very respectful, very sweet. You are like my sister. Sweet sister."
Following his father's sexist footsteps, Azam Khan's son and MLA - Abdullah Khan made a statement referring to Jaya Prada as Anarkali.
"Rampur wants Ali as well as Bajrangbali but does not want Anarkali,"he said at SP's final rally ahead of voting in the third phase.
