Sharmistha Mukherjee quits from her post as Communication head of Delhi Congress

Sharmishta Mukherjee has quit from her post as Incharge of Communication for the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee. She has been replaced by Ramakant Goswami. She continues to remain the President of Delhi Mahila Congress.

Sharmishta Mukherjee has quit from her post as Incharge of Communication for the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee. She has been replaced by Ramakant Goswami.

The campaign list and the list of Election Management team of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee accessed by Republic TV also does not mention Mukherjee anywhere.

In January, months ahead of the critical 2019 Lok Sabha polls and with just about a year to go for the assembly elections in Delhi, the Congress party's Delhi chief Ajay Maken has resigned from the post. 

His resignation has been accepted by Rahul Gandhi

The sources had said that Maken met with the Congress president had said that he will only continue to hold the post till the appointment of the next Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief. 

Soon after his resignation, former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit took on the post. 

As per sources to PTI, Sheila Dikshit is willing to join hands with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the Lok Sabha 2019 polls. Sources also said that Maken had resigned because he was not willing to form the coalition with AAP.
