WATCH: "No One Has The Right To Blame Entire Jharkhand For Mob-lynching," Says PM Modi Adding 'those Responsible Will Be Punished By Law' In His Motion Of Thanks Address In The Rajya Sabha

Expressing his pain at the incidences of mob lynching in Jharkhand, PM Modi on Wednesday, said that those responsible must be punished by the law and will be done so, but one must not hold the entire state responsible for these issues, addressing the Rajya Sabha in his Motion of Thanks speech.

"Jharkhand has become a hub for mob lynching. I am saddened by the death of the youth. Those responsible should get severe punishment, but is it okay that we blame Jharkhand for this issue? If we do so, we will never find any good people in any state. Those who are bad, we should isolate them and deal with them under the law. But if we hold the entire government at stake, we cannot govern. To defame the entire Jharkhand is not anyone's right. The constitutional process and law procedure to punish such miscreants is in place for this purpose only.  And we should work towards punishing all those responsible," he had said.
