"Ssshh," Says Mani Shankar Aiyar When Confronted For Attacking Republic TV

ReadAfter attacking Republic TV reporter during his media briefing, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar continued to his intolerance towards Republic TV.  When questioned by the Republic TV crew,  he said "shhh" in an attempt to silence them. The Congress leader yet again made headlines for insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi by calling him a "neech aadmi".

Having received backlash for his remarks, Aiyar offered a somewhat bizarre apology by stating that his understanding of the Hindi language wasn't very good.

While briefing the media he has said, “Yes, I used the word ‘neech’. I wanted to call him a 'low person' and in my understanding, low translates to ‘neech’ in Hindi.”

Aiyar is hardly a first-time offender when it comes to making crass attacks against the Prime Minister. A few years ago, on a visit to Pakistan, Aiyar had been caught on camera suggesting to Pakistani leaders to 'First get rid of Modi.'
