'Strongly Condemnable': Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Hits Back At BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy Over Claims On Rahul Gandhi's Resignation

Rajasthan CM and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot launched a scathing attack at senior BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy on Saturday calling the statements that the BJP MP made on former party president Rahul Gandhi "strongly condemnable".

Gehlot further lashed out at Dr Swamy saying that Rahul Gandhi decision is something only courageous leaders can do. Coming out in support for Rahul Gandhi the Congress leader further said that Rahul has time and again showed and kept the interest of party and nation ahead of his personal interest.

Earlier in July when Rahul Gandhi had resigned as the Congress president, Dr Swamy had taken to Twitter, claiming that Gandhi's resignation was accepted, calling it the 'longest quitting in history'. 

Rahul Gandhi resigned as the Congress President in a dramatic exit by posting his 4-page resignation letter on Twitter on July 3 taking responsibility for the loss of the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. 

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi was granted bail in the defamation case filed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi over the former's 'Saare Modi Chor Hai' remark. The former Congress president appeared before the Patna civil court after he was summoned in the defamation case filed on April 13, alleging that Rahul Gandhi's remark ' Saare Modi Chor hai', has insulted the 'Modi Community'.
