Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday arrived in Kerala to participate in the protest march against the ‘murder of party workers’ kickstarted by BJP national president Amit Shah on Tuesday. The Chief Minister arrived in Keecheri around 10:45 am. He along with approximately three thousand party workers joined the Yatra, that will conclude on October 17 in Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier in a tweet, the Kerala unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji to lead the Jan Raksha Yatra tomorrow (Wednesday) from Kechery to Kannur."
On speaking to Republic TV, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “the brutal murder of more than 120 workers is a blot on democracy. It is a curse for democracy. Those who give an example of democracy, the communist government is dangerous for Kerala. More than 14 workers have been killed in the last year in the Chief Minister's constituency. Nothing can be more shameful than this.”
He added, “we (CM and Amit Shah) have come here for the purpose of public awareness. It is decided that if a roadshow is organised on our party President's orders, the Jihadi elements who believe in violence will be eliminated.”
As BJP continues with its onslaught in the state of Kerala, CPI(M) leader has lashed out and said, “their relay race is a race of violence, terror, intimidation, and bullying. The people of Kerala should show them their schools and hospitals. Let the UP CM learn from the hospital and health system in the state.” She added that it is the ‘RSS and its gundas’ who are responsible for ‘disrupting the harmony’ in the state.
