Uttar Pradesh chief nminister Yogi Adityanath, who has been campaigning in Chhattisgarh for the state assembly elections, has attacked Congress for minority appeasement and said that the 'anti-national activity of religious conversion' reached its peak when the party was in ruling the state.
"In Congress’s three-year rule in Chhattisgarh, anti-national activity of religious conversion was at its peak by agents of Italy. Dilip Singh Judeo (Late BJP MP) took this menace head on and stopped Jashpur from becoming another Bastar," he said. The BJP leader was speaking in Jashpur.
Subtly hitting out at Congress of playing divisive politics he said, "The Hindu society offers milk even to snakes despite knowing that it might bite later. Hindu is the greatest society of the world because we always believes in sacrifices. We Hindus never believe in forced conversion like others. We need to establish a government that can establish a Ram Rajya in Chattishgarh."
"There were no roads, education, electricity, systems for ration for poor people, health. It was Kumar Dileep Singh Judeo who made Jashpur safe or else this area would have become Bastar," he said.
This was the third time the chief minister was in the state. He also said that the Congress is involved in many conspiracies. "The Congress was and still is involved many conspiracies.. and I am glad Prabal Pratap Singh is continuously fighting against all odds and continuously reminding us of his father Kumar Dileep Singh," he said.
"Congress has done nothing except divide the society on the basis of caste, region, religion and language, he said.
Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday during his campaign rally in the state attacked Congress for misrule and dividing the population on the basis of caste and religion. He also attacked the party's silence when it came to Raj Babbar's 'revolutionaries' comment on naxals.
"A leader of UP Congress had termed naxals as revolutionaries which is an insult to the martyrdom of security forces fighting Maoists". the UP CM said without naming Raj Babbar
