Days after the Supreme Court's verdict on the Ayodhya matter, wherein a three-bench judge, in a 2:1 judgment, ruled that the case will not be referred to a larger bench, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), along with several saints and seers, called for a meeting on Friday where they chalked out the demands to be put forward in front of the government relating the construction of Ram Temple.

The Supreme Court, along with the historic judgment, had pronounced that the pleas on Babri Masjid will commence from October 29, and is only expected to end right before the 2019 General elections. But it seems that the backers of Ram Mandir in 'Ram Janmabhoomi' do not have much faith in the apex court.

“The construction of Ram temple is a matter of belief for crores of Hindus. So this meeting of 40 top Hindu seers has been called to remove the hurdles coming in the way of the construction Ram Mandir,” VHP spokesperson Sharad Sharma said.

Further, the VHP led backers of Ram Mandir have given an ultimatum to the government on this matter. They have stated that the parliament should chalk out a law on the construction of Ram Mandir by bringing in an ordinance, failing to do so, the groups will take the matter into their own hands.

"If the central government did not rule out a law to build a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya before December 6, then we will make the temple by ourselves," said the Hindu religious leader and BJP leader Dr.Ram Vilas Vedanti during the high-powered VHP meeting.

VHP, including the saints and seers, are scheduled to meet the President Ram Nath Kovind later on Friday evening to further discuss in the matter, where they want to speed up the process to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
