Yoga guru and FMCG tycoon Baba Ramdev has congratulated former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on the six-week bail that has been granted to him by the Jharkhand High Court.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Lalu Prasad, Baba Ramdev said, "We gave Lalu-ji our ashirvaad (blessings) and congratulated him for his bail."

Ramdev remarked on Lalu Prasad's health, saying, "His health is weak. We advised him to drink 'Gurj ka Kaada' (an ayurvedic juice) and do Kapaal Baati and Anuvam Billon (Yoga asanas)".

The Patanjali co-founder added that he'll be appointing a yoga teacher for Lalu.

Ramdev also spoke about Saturday's big wedding in Lalu Prasad's family. He said, "We met Rabri Devi and gave blessings to Tej Pratap also. Will give Ashirvaad to his fiance (Aishwarya Rai) whose house is nearby. May their union be one of harmony."

Lalu Prasad had initially been granted a three-day parole to attend the wedding but was granted further relief on Friday. Since being lodged in Ranchi's Birsa Munda jail on December 23, 2017 following his conviction in  a second Fodder scam case Lalu Prasad has had three spells in hospital, one in AIIMS sandwiched by two at the RIMS hospital in Ranchi, and has been convicted in two more Fodder Scam cases with his total number of convictions in the case now standing at four.

While being released from AIIMS on April 30, Lalu and his supporters had created a big ruckus with the RJD supremo trying with all his might to not be released and sent back to Ranchi, alleging that he was still sick and that he was being given a clean bill of health under pressure from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Another leader who has congratulated Lalu Prasad on his bail is West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee who tweeted the following:
