In a sensational development, BJP's national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya has levied stunning charges against senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh saying that the latter approached him to bring down the Madhya Pradesh government-led by Kamal Nath.
The claims were made by the BJP leader while he was addressing the Kisan Aakrosh Rally (Farmers agitation rally) in Madhya Pradesh. In his address, he levied allegations against Congress leaders Digvijaya Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Suresh Pachouri of approaching him in order to topple the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh. He furthermore, attacked Kamal Nath and called him a "fraudster", stating that he has led down the people in the state.
"Digvijaya Singh and two MLAs approached me and said the Kailash ji the government will fall if you would want. I said I don't want to bring down the government. Then Scindia ji's people approaches me and said that they want to bring down the government run by a fraudster Kamal Nath. He is a fraudster, they said. We are with you. Then Suresh Pachouri's people approached me to topple the government...," Kailash Vijayvargiya said during the rally.

Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh following the victory of the grand old party in Assembly elections that took place in November-December 2018. However, the Congress government in the state has not been able to fulfill its promise of farm loan waivers to the farmers, which the biggest poll plank on the party during the election campaigning in the Assembly Elections, as promised by party president Rahul Gandhi during multiple rallies.
Meanwhile, following the poll debacle in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in which the Congress party lost massively, Kamal Nath also offered to resign from the post of the party's state unit chief, taking moral responsibility of the party's loss in Madhya Pradesh.
