After Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad held a news briefing on Thursday, the second such briefing in two days, attacking the Congress for allegedly employing the services of under-fire data theft-accused firm Cambridge Analytica and its affiliates, the Congress followed suit.

Randeep Surjewala, who had responded to the minister on Wednesday counter-accusing the BJP of using Cambridge Analytica's services and denying that the Congress had done so, once again took him on, this time launching personal attacks and accusing the BJP of creating fake news.

In the midst of his news briefing Surjewala said the following:

"Hitler had an associate called Goebbels (referring to Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Minister of Propaganda). Modi ji has an associate called Ravi Shankar Prasad. BJP Govt has become a manufacturer of fake news. Sabse bade data chor macha rahe hain sabse zyada shor (The biggest data thief is making the most noise)

In the second part of a super exclusive #ForeignHand expose, Republic TV's sources revealed that a major national political party signed a massive Rs 800+ crore deal with Cambridge Analytica and its affiliates in order to avail of their services to gain an upper hand in the elections.
