In yet another case which is sure to cause major embarrassment to the Congress party, another of its leader was caught on camera making derogatory statements. B Narayan Rao, MLA from Bidar, Karnataka, openly called PM Narendra Modi, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as 'enemies', before threatening the media channels of destruction.
Speaking at a rally, the Karnataka leader started off by attacking BJP and RSS. He said, "Who is our enemy and who is our friend? This rally is not to know who the enemy is, but it is to identify and finish them off. Our enemy is RSS and BJP. Our enemy is RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. They have quietly come into power. But who has got the guts to end the Ambedkar's constitution? Why is the tea-maker after becoming the PM trying to play with Ambedkar's constitution? In 2019, he will be removed from power in Delhi. The work the tea-maker is doing on behalf of Bhagwat in Delhi, we will make sure that by getting together, and voting against him, we will send him back to Gujarat."
Taking his attack further forward, the Congress MLA went onto attack the media by threatening them of consequences. "The media people, whatever we say, you should telecast it to the public. If you don't, then we will close down your channel. If you show other things, and ignore the main points, we will not spare any of you," he added.
Not stopping with that, Narayan Rao also called the media as 'gutless', stating, "The media is gutless. They don't show the real points, but only show the weak ones. In this country, the Ram-raj was till January 26, 1950. And the day Ambedkar's constitution was taken up by the country, since that day, Bhim-raj became popular."
Before ending his speech, he went onto mock God while claiming anyone who does not consider Mahatma Gandhi as 'father of the nation' is an anti-national. "We did so much for him. We broke so many coconuts, we killed cows, we killed goats and we even killed our children. But out of the 36 crore gods, not even one god opened their eye and looked at us. Anyone who does not consider Mahatma Gandhi as 'father of the nation', does not accept Ambedkar's constitution, they aren't national, but anti-national," he stated.
