On a day when Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was inducted into politics and appointed by Congress as its General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while interacting with BJP workers via the NaMo app, attacked the Gandhis and their party for promoting 'Family first culture'.

The Prime Minister took a dig at the 'dynasty politics' of the Congres party while reiterating his party's stand that one-family politics should be removed from the country.

"In this country, most political leaders belong to the Congress. They have been born and brought up in the Congress culture. When I talk about Congress-mukt Bharat, it means that in Indian politics, we are aiming to remove the Congress culture. In our party (BJP), not even a single decision is taken keeping in mind what the family of the politician wants. And for that very reason, it is said that in India, most families are the party. But in BJP, party is the family," he said while addressing the party workers in Nanded, Maharashtra.

The inclusion of Priyanka into the party ranks was one of the the number of decisions announced by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in its recent letter.

The other major decisions also taken by the Congress President were also stated in the letter. Senior party leader KC Venugopal was appointed as the general secretary of AICC (organisation), Jyotiraditya Scindia was appointed as the General secretary of Uttar Pradesh West, while Ghulam Nabi Azad was relieved from his post of General secretary of Uttar Pradesh.

Following these massive decisions, party president Rahul Gandhi stated that he was very happy and excited to work alongside Priyanka and Scindia as the Congress looks to move on from the massive disappointment of being left out of Gathbandhan in Uttar Pradesh.

"I am very happy that my sister, who is very capable, will work with me. I am personally very happy. Jyotiraditya is very dynamic leader. I want to tell people, youth and farmers of UP, a lot of time has been wasted. BJP's government was formed, and now they have ruined the state. Remove them, and we will give a new direction to the state and make it No.1. If you are UP youth, you can see how the leaders have ruined your state. The decision taken by Congress is a good one. BJP is scared," the Congress president added.
