On the 10th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, an act of terror which killed in excess of 150 people in the financial capital of India, PM Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during his election rally in Bhilwara in the poll-bound state of Rajasthan.

The PM questioned the nationalism of the Gandhi family, accusing them of double standards when it comes to speaking on terrorism while referring to the party's questioning of the Surgical Strike conducted by Indian forces on Pakistan in 2016. Addressing the people of Bhilwara, he said,

"Today is 26 November. When Madame was in power in Delhi, it worked through remote control. 26/11 happened when Congress was in power, both in Maharashtra and in Delhi. The terrorist attack killed many of our citizens and soldiers. It is now 10 years to that heinous attack. And I very well remember, when the attack happened, there was election campaign in Rajasthan. At that time, if anyone spoke about how innocents were killed, these 'Rajdarbari' would pounce on them so much that those speaking were made to shut. And what did they say? It was a war. Pakistan is raging war against India, and these people are playing politics over it. At this time, the government in Delhi should be made strong, and politics shouldn't be played on terrorism. These big words were being used by them. 10 years ago on 26/11, an act of terrorism took place which shook the world, and Congress was trying to win election through this topic. The same Congress is now questioning the Surgical strike conducted by our Army. Every Indian wasn't proud or not? Wasn't this a moment to rejoice? But at such a time, Congress raised questions, asking videos. But does the soldier go to war using cameras in hand? At that time, they forgot their nationalism. But on 26/11, these Rajdarbaris would sing songs. But after 10 years, they have received an answer."

As many as 10 LeT terrorists came into India through the sea, and terrorised the city of Mumbai on November 26, 2008. An attack which lasted for a period of days, the terrorists bombarded and fired on a number of important places in the city, including the Taj Hotel. A total of 166 people were killed and over 300 were injured in the ghastly act of terror. Of the 10 attackers, nine were killed, while the only survivor, Ajmal Kasab, was hanged to death for his activities.
