With the Lok Sabha polls nearing, Sonia Gandhi on Sunday asked the parties to support one another against the BJP.  She also said that the parties in Opposition are waging a battle against "political forces that are determined to destroy our constitutional values".

"We stand here today to shoulder to shoulder in the memory of Karunanidhi... let the message go to the people of Tamil Nadu that we stand united to protect the constitution of India. It seems that the bells for Lok Sabha polls have been rung as the event saw many Opposition leaders present.
