Yogi Adityanath Breaks Silence On Kasganj Violence, Says 'No Place For Anarchy, Violence In Uttar Pradesh'

Four days after the Kasganj violence erupted, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath broke his silence over the clashes that claimed the life of a 19-year-old.

 

"There’s no place for lawlessness, anarchy and violence in Uttar Pradesh. We will crackdown on the law breakers. Stringent action will be taken against the accused,” said Yogi Adityanath.

 

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has questioned Adityanath asking what took him so long to break his silence on the Kasganj clashes.

One person died and two others were injured after a clash broke out between two communities during 'Tiranga Yatra' in the district on Republic Day. Both the groups reportedly pelted stones and also fired bullets at each other.

On being asked why the main accused in the violence is still on run, Sanjeev Gupta, IG, said that he doesn’t have information about this.

Earlier on Monday, Uttar Pradesh police have confirmed to Republic TV that six FIRs have been filed in Kasganj violence. The FIR, which Republic TV has a copy of, confirms that the tricolour was disrespected at the rally and anti-national slogans were raised.
