After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was denied permission to land in West Bengal, Yogi Adityanath on Sunday termed the West Bengal government “anti-people” and “anti-democratic”. While addressing a rally via a telephone, as he was denied permission to conduct a rally in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said:
"The TMC government didn't allow me to come and meet you all. That is why I had to resort to Digital India of Modi-ji to address you. I wanted to be a part of your 'Jantantra Bachao' campaign, however, due to the unconstitutional and anti-opposition activities of Mamata Banerjee's West Bengal government, I was barred from attending it. Prior to this episode, the TMC government had forbidden BJP's 'Jantantra Bachao Rath Yatra'. Even at that time, they stopped our BJP Chief Amit Shah Ji.
'The days of the Mamata Banerjee regime are numbered', said the Chief Minister while crediting his party works for their efforts.
"In West Bengal, the TMC government is not only anti-BJP but also anti-democracy, they are anti-constitutional. They play with the feelings of the citizens. Today we have come to the conclusion that the work of BJP workers in West Bengal will bring fruitful results. The way TMC under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee try to suppress the people, it is absolutely wrong. They stop the Hindus from worshipping Lord Durga during Navratri. The opposition workers were murdered. This is a challenge not only for the parties but also for the constitution. We know that our campaign will be fruitful. Today, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the government of India has benefited all the strata in society, however, the Bengal government is not allowing is to implement these policies."
He then went on to call TMC as "anti-people, anti-constitution and anti-democratic" party.
"They (TMC) captivate the workers of opposition party and murder them. One can observe this kind of pattern in West Bengal. This proves that Mamata Banerjee and TMC has no faith in democracy and constitution of this country. Those who recently went to West Bengal as representative of democracy on TMC's stage, they should reflect upon the fact that the government is constantly suppressing the people. Kolkata High Court was also forced to bring the state government before the law because they were trying to stop people to worship Lord Durga".
Furthermore, he hailed the work done by BJP workers in West Bengal and confidently stated that their strength to fight TMC goons will help BJP form government in West Bengal.
"The way BJP workers fought the TMC goons, I congratulate them for this. We all salute you, this government will not be able to stop us. BJP will form the government in West Bengal. With the strength of our works, we all will bring BJP government in West Bengal. TMC has become a victim of an illusion. They should not forget that BJP is ruling 16 states. Mamata Banerjee should agree that there has been a constant effort to conduct unconstitutional activities in Bengal".
He spoke about the different benefits that the citizens will avail by the 2019 Budget tabled by the Modi Government in the parliament.
"You must have seen that on 1st February, Modi government present the best budget. It will benefit 12 crore farmers. This budget will benefit 10 crore labours by providing them with the pension. This budget will secure the small entrepreneurs. The middle class will give tax benefit".
"Today, I would want to congratulate you to stand up against TMC government through your 'Jantantra Bachao' rally. We should not accept what is happening in Bengal. I ant the works to fight the unconstitutional government. I will again come to West Bengal and fight the government", he concluded.
Earlier in the day, Yogi Adityanath was denied permission by the Trinamool government in the state to conduct a rally. Yogi Adityanath was scheduled to address a rally in North Dinajpur, near Malda on February 3. The BJP claimed that the permission was denied without any prior notice.
